Felaryan Foibles chapter 6 is close to two-thirds done, but business has picked up again, and it's taken time away from writing.  This means the tale's on temporary hiatus.  ^^
In the meantime, artists have been lassoed to make more drawings of the crew.  Melanie the Neko, more Yonnedara the Succubus, as well as others are being put to paper.  Please watch for them!!

Summer has fully crashed into New Jersey.  Arriving with it are torrential downpours, lightning, and the occasional power outage.  Fun stuff, neh?  ^_^


Anyways.. Felaryan Foibles chapter 6 continues to be worked on.  Observant readers of previous journal posts will remember that my company had 100,000 new customers (yes, that's the correct number of zeroes ) sign on three months ago.  This has left me with very little spare time, so the story will be finished when it's finished.

Mother Nature just had to get the last word in once Winter ended in New Jersey.  After dumping 3+ feet of snow on us in under ten days, she decided to wash it away with torrential rains.  Nearly half a million people were without power because of the storms this past weekend.  Gah.

Moving onto a cheerier subject, the awesome arseniquez has finished an illustration of Syll'en. It's breathtaking.  She's in the Gallery.

Also, Felaryan Foibles chapter 5 is done.

I'm next going to work on sculpting with what little free time I have.  Please expect updates in a week, or so.

Now that I've had a chance to take a second look at all the Slayers LEGO minifigs, I've realized that I'm unhappy with Zelgadis's one.  When he was made four years ago, it was kind of a rush job - He was put together solely to act as a partner (dare I say pillar or book-end) for Amelia.  Just something to stand next to her and make an onlooker think, 'Oh look, Amelia and Zelgadis are together as a pair.'  There wasn't nearly enough love put into making him...  Thing is, I know that a lot of fans absolutely adore Zel-san, and I don't want to disappoint them.  So, because of that, I'm going to spend some time remaking him into something better.  It's road trip time to the art supply store tomorrow!

Also, business has been booming - my company has over 100,000 more customers this year.  Yep, a jaw-dropping 100K!  O_O

However, all those new lives have been eating up my time.  Felaryan Foibles Chapter 5 is being worked on - albeit in bits and spurts.  I hope to have it complete before the end of the month, and I'm not saying which month I mean - it may very well be March.  

I feel the need to mention my gratitude to timing2 for his insights on writing.  He's opened my eyes to how literary characters can interact with each other and their world.  Please go to his page and read his creations.  I promise that you won't be disappointed.  He's an incredible author.

The awesome arseniquez has finished the commission of Syll'en.  His portrayal of her is absolutely breathtaking.

Feb. 22, 2010 update: Got the enamel paints.  Now to plan what's going to be done to Zel.
Feb. 26, 2010 edit: Yay weekend.  Time to start painting Zelgadis's face.
Feb. 27, 2010 edit: May as well give Gourry a fresh coat of paint, too.  Lina will probably be more than happy to hold him down while the work is done.

And the 12^th of January, too.  Time flies when you're doin' time.  Er, that came out wrong.

I mean.. 'tis the season to be sneezin'!  That doesn't sound right, either.
